People are liking the poster I created about the Truth. It states, “The truth will always seem narrow-minded to those who don’t believe.” It came to my mind after hearing pompous college professors and others extolling the intelligence of those educated people who “realize” that truth is relative, as they work to tear down belief systems of captive audiences. I’m sure many people can identify with that. The poster, pictured below, is at Lenora.Imagekind.com
Perhaps you have heard the terms, ACEO and ATC. ACEO stands for “Art Cards, Editions and Originals.” ATC stands for “Art Trading Cards.” Here are a few of my ACEO’s:

“Old Tree in Louisiana,” acrylic in watercolor style.

This one is an abstract of a man’s sillhouette in front of a giant bonfire.
I have to go out to eat at David Beard’s Catfish King in Waskom now. I’ll write more later… and paint more also.
This one is 12×9, acrylic on stretched canvas. It’s $150 at ArtByUs.com. I like the fun, festive atmosphere.

And here some details:

I classify this painting as impressionistic abstract. The foreground is impressionist, but the deeper your eyes travel into the picture, the more abstract it becomes.
I’m Louisiana born and bred, yet I had never been to Kisatchie. So when we took a trip to the Kisatchie National Forest and hiked the short trail, I was surprised. Rocky buttes in Louisiana? I’m ashamed to say I had never walked this trail before. The following piece is a surrealistic abstract based on a section of this rocky little promenade. Promenade? Well, not quite.
This piece is available now at Artbyus.com.

14×11, stretched Canvas, Acrylic
The following images show some of the detail.

You can get a copy of this art at Lenora.Imagekind.com

Some people see a purple dragon, some see a woman with long hair, and some see birds flying into the distance. You can see more things in this piece also, but I won’t spoil the fun. Here are some details:

Some of my work is available at ArtByUs.com:

Landscape with Purple Wisteria, 14×11, oil on stretched canvas.
Painted on sides and ready to hang.
It shows the red dirt and green foliage that is common in Louisiana. The wisteria takes over, climbing among the trees.

Natchitoches Patio, 14×11, acrylic on stretched canvas, painted on sides and ready to hang
And there is more. Just click on one of the images to go there.
ArtByUs.com is an art auction site that is quite different from a lot of the others. If you’re tired of wading through acres of mass-produced assembly line art, you may want to check into ArtByUs.com.
These days, it can be difficult to tell online whether you are getting truly original art or a copy put out by a machine. Some copies are printed on canvas and a dishonest seller could convince you that you are buying an original. It’s a good idea to be careful when buying art, whether online or in a physical gallery. Of course, reproductions are fine, as long as you know you’re getting a reproduction from an honest seller. I say “honest,” because some sellers will illegally make reproductions of another artist’s work, then try to sell it to you. This is why many artists will not publish large images of their art on web pages. They are afraid of theft.
Below is a closeup of one of my oil paintings. It’s not the best image, and it is, after all, only an image (not the original), so bear that in mind. I am trying to let you see the texture of the painting.

Okay, just for fun, here’s another:
